BIRDWATCHING SITES: KTSIA-TABATSKURI RESERVE

Lake Tabatskuri which is the largest lake by volume in Georgia contains ca. 221 million m3, occupies an area of 14.2 km2 and is up to 42.2 m deep. Located on the borders of Borjomi and Akhalkalaki administrative units at an altitude of 1,997 m above sea level, the Lake belongs to the Ktsia-Khrami basin. Two villages – Tabatskuri and Moliti are situated along the shores of the Lake.
